One thing that I've wanted to see for a while now is a three-dimensional version of the Marvel Godzilla. But alas, I have no deutschmarks.
PLEASE GOD.
I NEED MONEY.
NOW.

do you still have  my Kyo head somewhere dopepope? I may save up for your full body here soon now that I learned that you CAN rig zbrush models! (maybe you could note me how much you think he would cost)

If we paid for your services would we be able to get the model afterwards so I could add the bones/animations?

Hiya. Yes, I do have the old head. But if you commissioned me for a new full body, I'd probably redo the head, so the whole mesh worked better. That was an old model. The newer one would probably look better. PM/Note me if this is what you want to do.

One day I hope to commission a model from you. I'd love to see your take on my demon dragon Akuma Ryu!

I have to say that's a sweet add. You should make an art book featuring some of your works someday as an addition to your commissions or a 3D creation process of their kaiju.

Interesting. I do have some books of my art, but they are from 2006 -8. Nothing featuring my zB work.

That's impressive for just only a year man. Amazing!

Thanks so much. It's all because I put the time in daily. If I let too much time go by, I can start to forget stuff, and then the ambition dwindles, and then I could slowly regress back into where I was when I started. DO NOT WANT!

PRACTICE:
First off, the most valuable advice is to PRACTICE NON STOP. getting good is all about practicing every day. it's how the crazy difficult interface gets easier. it's how sculpting techniques sink in, it's EVERYTHING.

RENDERING:
I'll paste here what I wrote to someone elsewhere...
I basically taught my self to render after a LOT of trial and error. It's very apparent when looking at my first few sculpts compared to my most recent few. I learn new things every time I sculpt. And, I'm pretty sure I'm doing a lot of it wrong. Wrong in the sense that if an experienced zBrusher watched me do it, they'd probably laugh and show me something easier, better, and more efficient. I have a lot to learn.

TUTORIALS:
Watch as many tutorials as you can. There's great ones on the Pixologic site. And on youtube.  I know there's something by the master Ben Mauro that's very informative.

COLORING:
Although it's possible, I don't really use zBrush to color, but I do use different matcaps, or materials, to capture the different colors and reflections, lighting, etc, then render out as many of those as I think I'll need to compose them all in Photoshop to create the finishes. Once in PS, it's a 2D illustration, and I add subtle details and make changes as needed. It's very effective, and the outcome can be great, but I think there are other approaches. And I'd like to learn those.

I have TONS to learn, but I love doing it, and always look forward to more PRACTICE! Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for getting back to me so soon! Wow thank you so much for this, it's very informative! I've tried sending my models to photoshop and I don't know how to make it a 2d illustration, how do you do that?

First, in zBrush, pose your model the way you want it to look in your 2D illustration, and make it as big on the screen as you can with out cropping anything. Once your happy with that, don't move it again. Then choose the materials and lighting, or if you like what's there, then leave it. Then go to DOCUMENT along the top, click it, and then click EXPORT. There you'll be able to save what you see on the screen in zBrush as a flat JPG or PSD. now you can open that in Photoshop and use it as a base for your 2D illustration.

I have one more quick question (sorry to bother you). How do you make it as big as possible? I tried to resize the document but it messed it up and cut everything out that was already in the model.. :(

Oh I didn't mean scale the actual tool up, I meant zoom the camera in as close as possible.

Oh! I see, I also found a method that someone uses to double the size of the document by clicking double in the document tab. What are your thoughts?
