The only thing to help them feel more 'colossal' might be to get some distance cuing in there...take an average (brightness & colour) of your sky and progressively lighten your shadows with it the further you go back...so say 0% for the foreground buildings, between 20-30% for the beasts and say 40% for the background buildings... It also helps to darken the highlights (with that same average colour) but by between 1/4-1/2 the amount you lightened the shadows.
That will all help to get some separation between the background and foreground and add to your sense of scale...
...all that said, if you're after the 'model' style of the original movies, then you've nailed it and I'm talking out of my @$$
